The first Odyssey Art Center was founded in 1974 by Linda Perlmutter. After quitting her job as a teacher to stay home with her newborn son, Perlmutter started teaching small groups of children in the basement studio of her home. Today, her art education franchise combines history, poetry, literature, science, music, math and current events with art.
About Smarter Toddler
At Smarter Toddler, we believe that the artistic, cultural, and social development of each child is integral to education. Operating two popular centers since 2007, we offer programs for children 3 months to 5 years of age focusing on whole child growth. We bring the outside world into the children's lives at school. The program provides a rich environment that promotes children's active exploration in all areas of development: physical, emotional, linguistic, aesthetic, and cognitive. We are dedicated to providing a foundation that encourages each child's lifelong love of learning through art and music. Through franchising, we plan to expand our philosophy with dedicated franchisees who want to help parents and their children grow into successful, well-rounded students. We realize that our success is dependent on your success and we will be with you every step of the way. From securing your location to opening of your center, our support team will provide guidance and advice.
