Company Overviews

About Math Squared Education

In 1999, the founders of Math Squared, Henry Yang and Jean Tsai realized that most children were having difficulties with problem solving in mathematics and therefore started research about all kinds of math learning programs available. But they found a lot of programs were using the rote system and almost none focused on balancing computation, problem solving, critical thinking, logic, puzzle, geometry and other areas in math. In 2000, they gathered a group of professional engineers, psychologists, mathematicians and educators, in Silicon Valley, who have drawn upon their individual areas of expertise and collaborated to design this entirely new system of learning math for Pre-K to 6th grade. Since the company's inception, 15 centers have been established in the US operating with Math Squared's license program. To further their marketing efforts, they have collaborated with Smart Kids Corp for distribution of the licensees. The founder of Smart Kids, Perry Ho believes that math is more than just the computation; children should be able to think out of the box and be equipped to overcome further challenges. Perry has more than 10 years of working experience as a Program/Marketing Manager in AT&T Bell Labs. She has won the highest honor of Bells Labs President Award for outstanding work. She has been trained extensively by Math Squared trainer to become a Math Squared certified instructor. Perry has been a dedicated educator for several years.

About Stemtree

"Stemtree

The STEMTREE franchise model offers education services that focus on the core curricula of science, technology, and engineering.
STEMTREE’s programs nurture each student’s inner scientist through innovative, engaging, and hands-on learning experience, built upon a solid foundation of scientific curricula, giving each student the edge for success in today’s schools and the world.
Whether achieving higher grades in the classroom, helping students become successful science professionals or engineers, or simply instilling and cultivating an appreciation and a deep understanding of science and technology, STEMTREE offers after-school programs, with or without student pick-ups, one-on-one tutoring, educational camps, home-school study programs, and even birthday parties and event-based programs.
Stemtree was founded on the idea that nothing is more important than enriching the lives of others; now we want to extend that service to our franchisees.
Stemtree has a strong potential ROI for a franchise owner. With reasonable overhead and a low startup cost for the education industry, the concept is financially sound. We do not guarantee any success or levels of profitability, but with a large margin for error, a franchisee can be much less effective than our projections and still have a successful business.

STEMTREE’s business model requires a fixed commercial location comprising approximately 1,500 to 2,500 square feet of space.
