About Monical's Pizza

In 1959 the Monical family started making pizzas in the little town of Tolono, Illinois. Before long, their recipe became a hit with many of their local friends and neighbors. Thus was born Monical’s Pizza, a name that over the years has become synonymous locally with the very finest thin crust pizza.

Today there are over 60 Monical’s Pizza restaurants, primarily located throughout Central Illinois with several in Indiana, one in Missouri, and one in Wisconsin. Monical’s great pizza has evolved into a dining tradition for countless families and into a financially-solid steadily-growing foodservice institution. In an intensely competitive business environment, Monical’s Pizza has managed not only to keep up, but outpace many of its larger competitors. From our Famiglia, to yours "Toronto's Gourmet Pizza" Pizzaiolo is a leader in gourmet pizza in Toronto with up to 24 pizzas to choose from. While most have 4 to 5 options, Pizzaiolo gave much more. Also, we provide freshly made dough, never frozen, we freshly grind our own tomato sauce. Our cheeses are of the highest quality. Quality matters to us for long term success.Pizzaiolo was founded in August of 1999.
Unable to find great quality, authentic pizza in Toronto, Luigi opened Pizzaiolo in November 2000. His mission, "I want people to know what a great pizza tastes like”.
We started Pizzaiolo because of our "Love of Food”, and to this day, we are incredibly proud of our heritage and the fact we have not changed the quality of our pizza. With Love, Passion, Family and a commitment to Quality, we are proud to have served you, your friends and families for over 20 years.
We have grown to 40+ locations in the GTA and are focused on bringing Pizzaiolo to communities throughout all Ontario.
