Operations - OBLIGATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTUAL OPERATION OF THE FRANCHISE BUSINESS You must designate one person who owns at least 10% of your equity interests as your “Operating Partner.” The Operating Partner must serve as the general manager of the restaurant, operate it on a day-to-day basis and have the authority to bind you to obligations relating to the Franchise Agreement. The restaurant must be under the direct, on-premises supervision of a fully-trained manager or a fully-trained assistant manager selected by you and approved by us. We do not require that the Operating Partner or other persons who directly or indirectly own an ownership interest in your entity (an “Owner”) provide direct on-premises supervision.

Halibut House was started in Port Perry by Julie. Julie worked hard with her family. Their passion was fresh cut halibut and french fries - an authentic fish and chips experience. This model was soon expanded to other cities.

Today, Halibut House has over 15 locations and increasing. Fresh cut halibut is skinned and filleted in the store. French fries that are served are from potato farms, grown locally. Halibut House believes in three things - quality, good customer service, and freshness of the food.

Starting in Port Perry; the Halibut House has expanded into Oshawa, Whitby, Aurora, Bowmanville, Pickering, Scarborough, Markham, and Newmarket!
We specialize in fresh cut halibut; skinned and filleted in our very own stores, served a top home cut French fries from our local potato farms. We take pride in freshness, quality, and service. A seafood restaurant you won’t forget, New Orleans inspired Canjun-style seafood boil, with amazing signature seasonings. Serving Crab Legs, Lobster, Blue Crab, Oysters, Crawfish, Shrimp, and more…. boiled, seasoned, served in a ‘juicy special’ sauce. 

We have a ‘special’ Royalty rate going on right now on the first 10 franchise locations. with a 3% royalty. 

After the 10th location, it would go to 4%.
