American Kiosk Corporation (AKIS, Pink Sheets) announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, Zero's Mr. Submarine Inc., and their franchisee, Zero's Subs of Metropolitan Atlanta, LLC, opened a new Zero's Subs in Atlanta GA. It opened at Simpson Rd and Lake Ave in Atlanta on June 24, 2005. This is the first Zero's Subs to open in Georgia and the first restaurant for Zero's Subs of Metropolitan Atlanta, LLC, who is also the Area Representative for Zero's Subs throughout Georgia. In the next few weeks, another Zero's will begin its construction phase in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. Martin Palacios, President of American Kiosk Corporation and Zero's, Mr. Submarine, Inc., states, "It is great to open our first restaurant in Georgia. We are looking forward to many more Zero's Subs opening throughout Georgia as we continue to work with Dick Smith, the Managing Partner of Zero's Subs of Metropolitan Atlanta, LLC." As a result of its recent expansion efforts, Zero's now has restaurants open and operating in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Arizona, and Nevada. Internationally, Zero's Subs has restaurants open in China and New Zealand. Several franchise agreements have been signed in California so those new Zero's Subs should be opening in the next few months. Zero's Mr. Submarine, Inc. is a franchisor of quick service restaurants featuring "Hot Oven-Baked" sandwiches and Pizza. Zero's has been in business since 1967, starting in Virginia Beach, VA. Zero's Mr. Submarine Inc. began franchising the original restaurant concept in 1994. Currently, Zero's has over 60 restaurants worldwide in the chain.
