Computertots/computer Explorers Partners With The Wayne Police Athletic League And Boston Scientific, Bringing Technology Training To Nj Children

WAYNE TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEY | Tuesday, November 08, 2005

In an effort to provide a competitive advantage in technology to children in Wayne Township and surrounding areas, COMPUTERTOTS/COMPUTER EXPLORERS (CTCE) has partnered with the Wayne Police Athletic League (WPAL) and Boston Scientific, offering extracurricular classes in technology skills and application software. “Corporate good neighbors such as Boston Scientific understand the critical nature of helping children develop an interest and appreciation for technology,” says David Rhodes, owner of CTCE in northern New Jersey. “Test scores indicate that the United States has some work to do to catch up with some of our friends overseas. Having a globally competitive workforce means giving our children the tools they need beginning at the earliest ages.” CTCE is currently offering classes for children ages 3-14 using digital microscopes and cameras, and teaching concepts in engineering and robotics and software applications in after school programs at the Wayne Police Athletic League. The state-of-the-art computer lab at the WPAL, where CTCE technology and application software skills are taught, was generously funded by Boston Scientific, a leading developer and manufacturer of medical devices, and is headquartered in Natick, Maine. “COMPUTERTOTS/COMPUTER EXPLORERS programs are designed to help students develop a love for technology, science and math,” says Rhodes. “Our goal, like that of WPAL and its community partners, is to help children to learn while they have fun.” COMPUTERTOTS/COMPUTER EXPLORERS is the largest and fastest growing home-based provider of computer technology education for children in the U. S., offering computer enrichment to students, ages three to twelve, at child care centers, schools and other community sites. CTCE franchise opportunities are available in all 50 of the United States, in Canada and countries throughout the world.
