Crown Trophy Opens 80th Location

Crown Trophy, the largest retailer of trophies and awards in the country and the only franchise in the industry announced the opening of its 80th location. The tremendous surge in growth has made Crown's goal of having 100 locations by the end of the year a distinct reality. Nick Gimpel, Vice President and Director of Franchising, is ecstatic over the growth Crown has seen over the past year. Gimpel, a 30-year veteran in franchising (Minuteman Press and Sign-A-Rama originator) sees Crown as a franchise with unlimited potential. Gimpel states, "Crown Trophy has exceeded my expectations since taking over the franchise operation last April. I knew we had a great foundation to build on (no failures or stores closed during the thirteen years of franchising) but I wasn't sure that we could continue to draw the quality of individual to make this franchise special. But the quality of owner has been very high and I see that as a continuous development as we begin our national franchise expansion program.
