Roping Steers Or Tying Curtains This Cowboy Has Gotcha Covered´┐Ż

AMARILLO, TEXAS | Tuesday, June 22, 2004

For thirteen years, this cowboy made his living down and dirty on the rough and tumble rodeo circuit. That all changed the day he went riding on the internet and discovered Gotcha Covered.

What he discovered won’t force him to give up his jeans or the comfort of his favorite pair of broken in Justin’s, but it will allow him to avoid the typical bumps and bruises of his previous occupation. Now, Gerry Stamps will be selling and tying up the latest window fashion products for Gotcha Covered, one of the nation’s premier home-based franchise companies.

The new business allows him to work out of the comforts of home with his wife, Cindy. “Gotcha Covered” trains and equips each franchisee to handle any window fashion need and stocks their mobile van with the very latest samples featuring many of the largest name brands in the country for window coverings. “I can’t believe there are so many samples, I think we have of 106 that show off every current fashion you see in the very latest magazines, states Gerry. “It’s pretty darn impressive.” Gary’s wife is pretty excited about the new career director as well. “I love fashion accessories and designing great looks around windows. To earn a living designing custom window treatment’s in the comfort of our customer’s homes or offices are just that much better,” stated Cindy Stamps. “Gotcha Covered” has been recognized as one of the Top Twenty New Franchises by Entrepreneur Magazine and is also rated number two in their category in the most recent Franchise 500 publication for 2004. The couple purchased an exclusive territory for Amarillo, Texas and moved from their home in New Mexico. “We thought it would be a good idea to open in a city with strong growth,” stated Cindy, “but we didn’t want to give up the quality of people we were comfortable with in New Mexico. When we were told that Amarillo was available, we jumped at the opportunity.” Upon graduation from an initial two-week training program in Dallas, Mr. Stamps returned home to the telephone ringing and a sizeable sale a few days later. “That was exciting and I don’t mind if it’s always like this,” stated Gerry. Today, his wife is attending the training program learning the ins and outs of the window fashion industry and preparing to join her husband full-time in two weeks.

“Gotcha Covered” total initial training period is completed over a nineteen weeks. “They leave the classroom prepared to compete against the biggest names in our industry,” states Mike Rose, co-founder of the company. “We don’t want to overwhelm them at first, so we dole out our training in modules at a leisurely pace. Their last week, we fly them back to our Dallas training center and introduce them to an entirely new week of potential profit centers.” About “Gotcha Covered” “Gotcha Covered”, is headquartered in Carrollton, Texas, and is ranked the #2 franchise in its category by Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500.
