Rising Tuition

There is no doubt that there has been a major rise in College tuition. According to recently released reports from the College Board, most students and their families can expect to pay, on average, from $167 to $1,132 more than last year for this year's tuition and fees, depending on the type of college.

In 2004-2005 school year, at a four year private institution tuition averaged $20,082 per year, up 6% from 2003. At a four year public instition tuition was up over 10% to $5,132. At a 2 year Junior College Institution, $2,076 an almost 9% increase. This is only for Tuition, the cost of Books and Housing too is on the rise.
