Touch Screen Ordering

Customers can build a better sandwich at White Hen Pantry, thanks to the convenience store chain’s new automated touch-screen ordering system.

The easy-to-use touch-screen program allows White Hen customers to select the sandwich they want, down to the type of bread, desired condiments, beverages and other “go withs”, all with the touch of a finger. The customer’s order is then quickly and freshly prepared�usually within 3 minutes-- while they wait or shop the rest of the store.

Customers also use the touch screen system to select sliced-to-order deli meats and cheeses, deli salads, shakes, malts, smoothies and other frozen blended drinks, breakfast sandwiches, and even espresso based beverages. “Our customers of all ages love the touch-screen system. The graphics are eye-catching and sell our food, and the system makes it easier and quicker for customers to customize their requests. Our store personnel like it because the touch-screen approach sends finished orders to the production team who can quickly fill the orders.” says Brandon Barnholt, CEO of White Hen Pantry, Inc.

The touch-screen system coincides with the introduction of White Hen’s Hot & Fresh Oven Toasted Sandwiches. These sandwiches are available at over 100 White Hen stores already, and will be available at nearly all locations by the end of July.

“The quality of our new Hot & Fresh Oven Toasted Sandwiches speaks for itself,” says Barnholt. “We waited until we got it right to bring this product to market. Customer response has been overwhelming.” White Hen will offer 12 sandwich varieties, all custom made on the customers’ choice of White Hen’s Signature Roll or Low Carb Wrap and with choice of condiments, vegetables and cheeses. All sandwiches will be toasted to order.

The 12 sandwich varieties include the Pantry Favorite (Smoked Turkey Breast and Provolone Cheese), Classic Ham & Cheese, the Country Club (Smoked Turkey Breast, Premium Ham, Bacon and Swiss), Roast Beef, Italian, Chicken Breast, the White Hen Special (White Meat Chicken Salad and Asiago Cheese), Pantry Tuna Melt, Three Cheese Melt, Garden Market Vegetarian, Pizza Sub, and the BLT.
