Computer Renaissance And Kendall Howard Team Up - Kendall Howard Signs Preferred Vendor Agreement

Monday, November 24, 2003

On Monday November 24, 2003 Computer Renaissance, a nation wide retail franchising corporation signed a preferred vendor agreement with Kendall Howard of St. Paul Minnesota to provide SOHO (Small Office Home Office) products for their retail chain stores. Originally founded in 1988 on the basis of buying and selling used PC products to business clients, today Computer Renaissance thrives in a technology-driven society. Their model has evolved into a service-based company that offers total computer solutions to small business and consumers. Computer Renaissance also offers customer built computers with the highest quality industry components. There are currently 100 Computer Renaissance stores throughout the United States. "In recent years we have really started to focus on small and medium size business needs", Michael Gouldman, Manager of two east coast locations, tells us. "To me, Computer Renaissance has always been about providing alternative solutions to our customers. This includes providing solutions for their workplace as well as their homes. Kendall Howard was a perfect fit for our store. They carry a diverse product line and they are flexible enough to look at creative solutions for my customers. Lots of companies make racks and KVMs, but no one seems to make overall solutions to problems, Kendall Howard does." When asked what was it like dealing with Kendall Howard, Gouldman says, "Their online ordering is simple and straight forward, I like that the inventory is tied directly to the web site so I always know what is in stock. They have been a pleasure to deal with." "Working directly with store owners and mangers is a great experience," says Randy Herreid, Managing Director of Kendall Howard. "They truly have the pulse of their communities needs because they are all local. When they deal directly with us, we all are part of a team; it's our job to make sure each store is getting what they need when they need it. Sometimes when you deal with large corporations that buy for their retail stores, its difficult for the manufacturer to get feedback on what works and what doesn't work. When I talk to the individual stores, they tell me exactly what people want. And it's our job to make sure we can provide the best possible product. But, the key here is that we produce the best possible product the customer wants and needs, not what we think they want and need." About Computer Renaissance Originally founded in 1988 on the basis of buying and selling used PC products to business clients, today Computer Renaissance thrives in a technology-driven society with three distinct offerings: New and refurbished computer products; component parts for the do-it yourself; and in-store & on-site service and repair. Their model has evolved into a service based company that offers total computer solutions to small business and consumers. Computer Renaissance also offers custom built computers with the highest quality industry components. There are currently almost 100 Computer Renaissance stores throughout the United States.
