Dinner By Design Introduces "delicious Rewards" Card, The First Customer Reward Card In The Make, Take & Bake Industry

Sunday, January 01, 2006

Dinner by Design, a leading "make, take and bake" home meal prep company, today announced another industry first the introduction of its "Delicious Rewards" Card, the first nationwide customer reward card program in this market segment. According to company president and founder Julie Duffy, Dinner by Design has a tremendous number of loyal customers who repeatedly enjoy the fun and convenience of meal making at our kitchens. "The Delicious Rewards Card is our way to thank customers for their continued business," said Ms. Duffy. In two hours or less, people can enjoy making 12 entrees for the month at a Dinner by Design kitchen. The average price of a 12-entre session is around $200 and pre-made entrees are around $19.99 depending on size. Each regular sized entre serves 4-6 people. Based on the popular concept of frequent flyer and purchase programs, the Delicious Rewards program gives card holders one point for every dollar purchased at Dinner by Design. For every 1,000 points, customers can receive $100 in food or merchandise. During a limited time, Dinner by Design customers will receive a bonus of 250 points for enrolling in the Delicious Rewards Card program after completing a 12-entre session. . "The Delicious Rewards Card, in addition to Dinner by Design's nationwide gift card program, quality food and customer service, is another example how the company is different from others in the marketplace," said company president and founder Julie Duffy. Industry observers predict the concept of meal prep outside the home is becoming very popular and is at the same stage that trendy coffee chains were at 15 years ago. The Business Times Daily called Dinner by Design "one of the hottest new retail franchise sensations sweeping the nation," and Entrepreneur Magazine named the company and this market segment one of the "Hot 29 Businesses to Start in 2006." Based in northwest suburban Chicago, Dinner by Design has agreements for more than 50 franchise locations. Ms. Duffy expects an estimated 150 agreements to be signed by year end.
