Recent Franchise Development Agreements Set the Stage for Massachusetts-Based Eatery's Rapid Expansion
Fresh City, an acclaimed fast-casual restaurant concept with 13 locations spanning New England, is pleased to announce the signing of multiple franchise development agreements that set the stage for the Massachusetts-based eatery's rapid expansion in New Jersey, Chicago, IL and Massachusetts. Fresh City's steadfast approach to their unique open-kitchen designed, fresh fusion concept is the driving force behind Fresh City's "Fresh Casual" break away from what is usual in the fast casual arena. An obsession for fresh food, fresh business perspectives, fresh service solutions and a new restaurant prototype launched in Warwick, RI in early December of 2004 have proven to be a winning formula, gaining the concept much attention throughout New England and, most recently, yielding increased momentum in the franchising world. FRESH CITY TAKES OFF Fresh City is also delighted to announce its recent opening of its first franchise development agreement with travel service giant, Creative Host Services, a division of Compass Group. In March, Creative Host Services opened Fresh City's 13th location at Boston's Logan International Airport's newest Delta Terminal, Terminal "A", providing travelers the same unique Fresh City cuisine that Bostonians have grown to love. FRESH CITY CHICAGO In September of 2004, Fresh City announced the signing of their second franchise development agreement with Fresh Start Restaurants Enterprises, with plans to introduce Fresh City to the Chicago area in October 2005. Fresh City and Fresh Start Enterprises' first fast casual restaurant will open in Warrenville, IL, with further plans to develop up to 22 Fresh City locations with an expansion territory including Lombard, Geneva, Wheaton, Schaumburg in Illinois and Madison, Wisconsin. Fresh Start Enterprises currently has two locations scheduled for opening in 2006. "It is very gratifying that our first franchising agreement will introduce Fresh City to the Chicago area," said Larry "Chicago was actually the conceptual birthplace of our fresh food marketplace concept and we are more than proud to return to deliver upon that vision." SPREADING FRANCHISE ROOTS IN THE GARDEN STATE Fresh City is delighted to announce its most recent development, the signing of a franchise agreement with Garden State Fresh, LLC. Garden State Fresh will be developing up to 20 restaurants in New Jersey with plans for its first restaurant opening this in Livingston, N.J. in January of 2006, followed by an additional two locations slated to open later that year. The first New Jersey enterprise will include Fresh City as part of the Livingston Town Center Development in Northern New Jersey, a lifestyle center featuring upscale retail and professional spaces that are surrounded by luxury homes. "Livingston is a great location for both the local community and for those visitors from other regions who are stopping in the area to visit and shop," states Larry." "Additionally, our outstanding catering staff will be able to serve the local business population within the area. We feel confident that Fresh City will be a welcomed addition to the Livingston Town Center Development as well as become a leader in fast-casual dining in the state of New Jersey." INCREASING THE TERRITORY AT HOME Although Fresh City has its eye on continued development outside of New England, they continue to search for prime development opportunities nearer to home. "We have further exciting expansion plans in 2005 and 2006," states Larry. "In November of this year, we will proudly open our 15th location in North Andover, MA" continues Larry, "followed by our 16th restaurant sited in Natick, MA, scheduled for an early December opening.
