JACKSONVILLE RESIDENTS REENACT THEIR VERY OWN KRYSTAL BREAKFAST STORIES FOR NEW KRYSTAL TV SPOTS

If you grew up in the South chances are you have a Krystal story all your own, and for a few residents of Jacksonville, Fla., their personal tales of Krystal love will be forever memorialized in television commercials for the fast food icon. The 30-second spots, which begin airing on March 6 and promote Krystal's signature, big taste breakfast lineup, star four Jacksonville area "Krystal Lovers" sharing and reenacting their very own stories of starting each day right, with a fresh, hot breakfast from their favorite Krystal restaurant.

The commercials were filmed in Jacksonville this past December after Krystal representatives visited the city searching for Krystal Lovers who had a soft spot in their hearts, and hungry home in their stomachs, for Krystal's signature breakfast offerings, including the popular Breakfast Scramblers line that takes a traditional breakfast plate and stacks each menu item in a convenient, easy to carry bowl that can be enjoyed either scrambled up or devoured layer by layer. While a number of people were filmed and several ended up in 15-second and 30-second spots that celebrate Jacksonville Krystal Lovers, it was four individuals, including a local radio personality, a newlywed couple and a mother of two, who were chosen for their own commercials.

"Jacksonville is a city full of Krystal Lovers eager to share their passion for the food they've enjoyed all their lives, and these commercials celebrate four of our most diehard Krystal Lovers from the Jacksonville area," said Mike Williams, vice president of marketing, The Krystal Company. "Our customers have always been the stars of the Krystal brand, going all the way back to our first customer in Chattanooga 73 years ago to the people we serve today in 12 states across the South, and we continue to look for ways to celebrate them and their stories, whether it is casting them as the stars in our commercials or honoring them with a spot in our Krystal Lovers Hall of Fame." The Jacksonville Krystal commercials each feature the Krystal Lover talking about his or her daily routine of going to Krystal for breakfast while a re-enactment of their story plays out. As the spot draws to a close the Krystal Lover asks, "That's My Krystal Story, What's Yours?," which is followed by the Krystal Lovers logo with "Jacksonville" appearing below it.

"My Time" Starring Heather Shea Local radio personality, Heather Shea of 102.9 FM The Point, is the star of one of the spots that shows her going through her daily ritual as a working, married mom. Each day after she drops her son off at daycare, Shea heads to Krystal for what she likes to call, "My time." "Some time it's the only hour I have to myself in the day period. So I consider Krystal my time," says Shea. She often brings a book into Krystal with her as she enjoys a Breakfast Scrambler and relaxes before going on the radio from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day.

"Krystal Lovers" Starring Ashley and Carl Jacksonville newlyweds Ashley and Carl share their story of how they wake up at 4:30 a.m. every morning and swing by their favorite Krystal location in the very large car they inherited from Carl's grandfather. The couple orders Breakfast Scramblers to go from the Krystal drive-thru, and then Ashley drops Carl off at his office where he enjoys his morning treat. Ashley then heads to work with a sack of Scramblers in tow for her fellow co-workers. "My coworkers love me because I bring the Scramblers in," she shares.

"Granny Breakfast" starring Dena & Sons Mother of two very hungry boys, Dena shares with the viewer her morning routine of taking the boys to Krystal for her version of "Granny Breakfast." While generally "Granny Breakfast" is when Dena's mom visits and cooks the boys whatever they want for breakfast, for the ever-busy Dena, "Granny Breakfast" is when Krystal does the cooking for her in the morning. As she explains, "I'm not Granny, I'm Mommy." For her youngest, the meal Krystal makes for him is the Express Breakfast, with fluffy scrambled eggs, fresh hot bacon, tasty grits and buttered toast. For the oldest, it is the Pancake Scrambler topped with extra maple syrup. And for Dena, it is two Cheese Krystal Hamburgers, her favorite square meal anytime of the day. The Krystal Breakfast - Fresh, Hot, Distinctive and Big in Taste When Krystal introduced its Original Breakfast Scrambler two years ago, it revolutionized breakfast for the "on the go" lifestyle by serving up a traditional plate breakfast stacked smartly in a bowl and conveniently enjoyed scrambled up or layer by layer. It was an innovation that transformed the morning rush crowd into the dashboard dining jet set that could coolly consume a hearty hot breakfast on the way to work or class. Krystal has since heated up the a.m. up even more with the introduction of three additional breakfast-in-a-bowl Scramblers: the 4 Carb Scrambler, Pancake Scrambler, the Sausage Gravy Scrambler and the Southwestern Scrambler. Also, now joining Krystal's all-star "on the go" lineup is the Express Breakfast, a meal served hot, fast and fresh and featuring three scrambled eggs, a choice of bacon or sausage, Hash Brown Kryspers or grits, and a biscuit or toast. And for a limited time only, Krystal Lovers who love Krystal for breakfast can order a mountain of a morning time meal, the new BreakFEAST, featuring a heaping helping of fluffy scrambled eggs, four pancakes, two slices of bacon, and two sausage patties. Krystal has been an industry leader in serving traditional plate breakfast since 1932, and remains the only fast food chain where customer can get eggs cooked to order. Krystal's breakfast menu also includes the Krystal Sunriser (sausage, egg and cheese on a Krystal bun), Krystal Chik Biscuit, the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit, the Sausage Biscuit, the Sausage Gravy Biscuit, Hash Brown Kryspers, and a Country Breakfast (eggs, bacon or sausage, Hash Brown Kryspers or grits, biscuit or toast).
