In a move to provide greater franchisee support, Parcel Plus announced today that Jed Castelbaum, owner of Parcel Plus in Ellicott City, Maryland, has joined its corporate staff as vice president. In addition to his new responsibilities, Castelbaum will continue to own and operate his Maryland center. "Jed Castelbaum has demonstrated committed leadership, not only in his own business, but throughout the Parcel Plus system," says Buz Grimes, president of Parcel Plus. "Fifteen years as a center owner brings a depth of knowledge of the industry and hands-on experience to the brand. He has also led the system's sales and marketing efforts the last five years, making him our logical choice to collaborate with other franchisees. I look forward to working with him in supporting our owners and system." Parcel Plus, part of the International Center for Entrepreneurial Development (ICED) franchise network, offers pack-and-ship and business services such as copying, faxing, mailbox rentals and mailings to consumers and small office/home office and other business owners. In addition to retail pack-and-ship, Parcel Plus offers cargo crating and shipping. "I have a passion for the industry and pride in the company," says Castelbaum.
