Eric Kurjan Assumes Key Leadership Role as President and Owner
Six Disciplines Corporation today announced that it has named Eric Kurjan to assume the leadership role of president and owner of the flagship franchise of Six Disciplines Leadership Center of Northwest Ohio, located in Findlay. Investors in the venture include Karen Crawford, Jack Ridge and Gary Harpst. "With the untimely passing of John Crawford, the Six Disciplines Leadership Center of Northwest Ohio was in need of a leader to continue the journey," said Kurjan. "We intend to honor John's legacy by building on his solid foundation of service and commitment to our current clients, and look forward to bringing the value of Six Disciplines to many new organizations in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan," added Kurjan. Prior to becoming involved with Six Disciplines, Kurjan was the president of Plumbline Solutions, Inc, a 75-person "start-up" software consulting company. Plumbline was formed as a spin-off from Microsoft's Findlay, Ohio location in August 2004. Plumbline provides software development, support, testing and consulting services to Microsoft and to its Partner organizations. In this role, Eric had overall responsibility for working with the Senior Leaders and Team Members to ensure the mission, values and goals of Plumbline were met. To accomplish this, under Eric's leadership, Plumbline became one of the first clients of Six Disciplines. Kurjan will continue to be involved with Plumbline, by joining their Board of Directors. Prior to Plumbline Solutions, Eric was General Manager of the North American Professional Services organization for Microsoft Corporation. As general manager he led a team of more than 500 professionals providing services to partners and customers in the areas of consulting, technical support, and product education and training. Kurjan was also instrumental in the integration and change management activities during the acquisition of Solomon Software by Great Plains and the subsequent acquisition by Microsoft. Kurjan was also the general manager of Microsoft Corporation - Great Plains' Solomon business unit, where he was responsible for product development, professional services, and sales and marketing across all Solomon product line offerings, as well as senior vice president of Solomon Software's Services Business Units. Kurjan also held the positions of vice president of the Knowledge Management Group, vice president and general manager of Support and Education Services, vice president of Sales and Marketing, and vice president of Sales in his tenure with Solomon Software. Kurjan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio, in 1982 and is a graduate of the 1996� 1997 Findlay Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class. He was named the 1998 Outstanding Technical Support Professional of the Year by the Association of Support Professionals.
