Big O Tires Names New President Of Franchise Business

John Adams, president of Big O Tires, Inc., announced that Kyle Iwasawa has joined the company as President, Franchise Business effective October 1, 2006. In this newly created position, Mr. Iwasawa will be responsible for more fully developing t a new Big O Tires Franchise Business Model (FBM) and the associated services and processes to support this new model for the company's franchisees. "The FBM is being implemented by the company to better focus on the customer and to make the necessary changes to help the company and its franchisees to work more efficiently in meeting customers' needs and expectations. The addition of this new position underscores TBC's (Big O Tires' parent company) commitment to this new business model and on meeting our goal of becoming a world class franchising company," Adams said.

Mr. Iwasawa comes to Big O Tires, most recently as President of Treadways Corporation, the tire wholesale operation owned by Sumitomo Corporation of America. Mr. Iwasawa has 27 years of increasing responsibilities within Sumitomo Industries, including positions in marketing and business operations. Mr. Iwasawa, his wife Rima, and their two daughters, Noa and Aria, currently reside in Japan and will relocate to Colorado, where the Big O Tires corporate offices are located. They have resided in the United States during previous positions Mr. Iwasawa had held.
