After an 8 month application, review, and site visit process, lACET has granted SSZ its highest status, that of Authorized Provider platform upon which to issue certification continuing education units for SSZ education programs. The certification was granted for its maximum length of 5 years, through 2010.
Speaking at the site visit, Dr. David Mays stated: "SuperSlow Zone and its Continuing Education and Compliance Division are the first strength training protocol and education program to receive this internationally judged platform." In receiving this approval, the formal intellectual property rights of SSZ and its protocol and licenses were reviewed, check for registry, and re-affirmed as sole rights by founders and the SSZ corporation.
Since 1968, IACET has been recognized as the steward of the formal standards and international definition of the usage of the term CEU: Continuing Education Unit; used by colleges, universities, corporate training programs, and other officially registered and licensed education programs.
SuperSlow Zone was also designated a formal voting organizational member of IACET. Super Slow Zone programs will now jointly carry the IACET emblem internationally certifying all SSZ education programs going forward.
