United Financial Services Group Introduces Whole New Development Team

United Financial Services Group, Inc., the nation's largest privately held franchiser of financial service centers is poised for record growth during 2004.

First, United has named Wayne Barry as its new VP of Development. Mr. Barry comes to United from New World Restaurant Group, whose brands include Manhattan Bagel, Einstein Brothers Bagels and New World Coffee, where he was Director of Franchise Development. Additionally, his 23 years of franchising experience include Dunkin' Donuts and Rita's Water Ice. Mr. Barry will be responsible for strategy and management of all development, sales and real estate activities to support United's goal of adding a minimum of 36 new franchises to its network during fiscal 2004.

Also recently joining the team is Joseph DiMeo as Director of Real Estate. Mr. DiMeo brings over 35 years of site selection, leasing and retail center experience to United. His background includes directing site selection and construction for the national expansion of the electronics retailer, Silo to over 100 locations nationwide as well as Director of Property for Dollar Financial Group in the financial services industry. Mr. DiMeo will be assisting new franchisees with their site selection, lease negotiations and overseeing the overall construction aspects of opening a United Check Cashing® center.

Rounding out the team are two new Development Directors, Collin Gaffney and Steve Archer. Mr. Gaffney brings over 25 years of franchise sales experience to United and joined the Company in October 2003. His background includes such franchise organizations as New World Coffee and Manhattan Bagel. He will be responsible for all prospective new franchisees seeking to locate centers east of the Mississippi River.

Steve Archer recently joined United from Cash Plus, a privately-held franchiser of payday advance and check cashing centers based in California. Mr. Archer has been selling franchises for over 25 years and was personally responsible for over half of the centers sold by Cash Plus. He is looking forward to bringing his industry experience to bear for United and will be focusing on our growth targets west of the Mississippi, specifically in the states of California and Arizona.

Finally, the team will be supported by the efforts of the recently appointed Director of Marketing, Jim Higgins. Mr. Higgins joined United last fall with an initial focus on building the consumer marketing efforts that support the franchisees' retail operations. He brings over 25 years of marketing experience as well as over seven years specifically from the Financial Service industry. His background draws equally from business-to-business marketing with over 11 years of Ad Agency experience as well as the last dozen years directing business-to-consumer marketing in retail businesses with a large multi-unit electronics retailer as well as Dollar Financial Group in the financial service sector. While continuing to support the retail side of our -- more -- UNITED FINANCIAL SERVICES GROUP Press Release – Page 2 business, Mr. Higgins will also focus on generating franchise sales materials, website updates and lead generation management to support the efforts of the expanding Development team.
