Postal Connections of America (PCA), a rapidly growing franchise chain of postal, business and communication services stores, reports franchisee winners of top national sales and performance awards at its third annual Franchisee Conference in San Diego. The Conference, attended by franchisees from across the country, featured industry developments, the latest vendor products and services, and a unique business assistance program to increase store sales and customer service. Nearly 100 people attended the franchisee meeting held at the Handlery Hotel and Resort, February 17 through 19. The top award, Franchisee of the Year, was won by Jim and Elizabeth Bowe, owner/operators of the Postal Connections Store, Lancaster, PA. Franchisee of the Year is awarded to the owner/operator who has contributed the most to improving their own store and the stores of other franchisees, helps to expand the number of Postal Connections stores networkwide, and is a leader in retail sales. Jim and Elizabeth also were awarded the top sales award for stores in business for two years but less than three. Store of the Year was won by Don and Sue Harteloo, owner/operators of the Postal Connections in Stayton, OR. This award is given to the store that runs a well organized, clean and customer friendly store that is active in the local community. The store also must be a sales leader. The Harteloos are supporters of Special Olympics and the local YMCA while becoming one of the highest sales volume stores in the network. The Rookie of the Year was awarded to two Postal Connections stores, the first time this award went to multiple winners. Jane and Jamie Hinkley, Vancouver, WA, and Rodney Randolph, Oxnard, CA were the winners. Both stores got off to fast sales and implemented aggressive marketing and promotion campaigns which resulted in above average sales increases throughout their first six months of operation. Top Sales Awards were awarded to James Endicott, Sumner, WA for the highest sales for a store open one full year but less than two. Matt Davidson and Jason Barber, Ada, MI, won the Top Sales Award for stores open three years but less than four. The Top Sales Award for stores open longer than four years went to Pete Pierce, Bend, OR. PCA stores offer packaging, shipping, mail receiving and forwarding, copies, fax sending and receiving, Internet access, eBay auction support and other products and services. Unlike many similar stores, PCA franchise stores feature shipping alternatives giving customers choices in prices, delivery times and carriersUPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS and othersinstead of selling only one shipper's service. Postal Connections of America is based in San Diego, and has been franchising stores since 1996. PCA is a subsidiary of Global Business Services, Inc. (GBNS.PK) headquartered in Beverly Hills, CA.
