Crye-Leike of Cleveland Contribute to Company Success

Crye-Leike, Realtors, the nations 6th largest real estate company, recently held its annual meeting announcing a record 6.1 billion dollars in company sales for 2006. Despite overall predictions of sluggish real estate sales, Crye-Leike had its best year in its 30-year history, maintaining its spot as the largest real estate company in Tennessee and #1 in the Mid-south. Crye-Leike, Realtors President, Dick Leike, says, "This is a great time to buy a house. Consumers have choices, interest rates are as low as they've ever been and the cost of living in the Mid-south is low. Now is the time to buy." Real estate sales for Crye-Leike's Chattanooga region were up at $ 714 million, a 9 percent increase over the year before. These figures represent approximately 4,500 closings by its 400-plus sales associates in the Greater Chattanooga area. The local Chattanooga Area Association of Realtors reported a 1.5% increase in volume over 2005. Crye-Leike's volume was 7.5 percent higher. These numbers could not have been achieved without the hard work and dedication of the Crye-Leike Cleveland branch office, located at 4627 North Lee Highway. Crye-Leike of Cleveland had its best sales year ever with $107, 313, 900 in sales, up 31 percent over the year before. These figures represent approximately 4467 closings by its 51 sales associates. Top producer in the office, Max Phillips was also the #3 producer for the overall Chattanooga region. Max has been a Multi-Million Dollar Producer for more than twenty years and has earned the Lifetime Member Designation of the Million Dollar Club. Max also holds the GRI and CRS designations from the National Association of Realtors. He has been an active member of the River Counties Association of Realtors, serving as chairman of the Political Action committee, president of the Association and has been Realtor of The Year. Several local agents achieved the Crye-Leike Multi-Million Dollar Producers status in 2006, receiving their (MMDC) designation exemplifying exceptional real estate sales and service. The 2006 MMDC winners for the Cleveland branch office are: Max Phillips, Jannis Sams, Judy & Larry Allen, Cindi Richardson, Tony Young, John Sanders, Johnny & Kim Lewis, Ruby Fryar & John Paul Douglas, Jean Wolke & Gene Pederson, Lorie Puckett, Joe Manning, Tammy Davis, Patti Gates and Larry Hawkins. Crye-Leike CEO, Harold Crye, says, "We have some of the best agents in the business. They care about the customer and they care about their community. Combine that with low interest rates, a strong local economy, customer loyalty and our unique one-stop home buying process, that's what keeps us at the top." Crye-Leike is the second largest real estate company in the Chattanooga region and #1 in the RCAR MLS system. The Cleveland office serves the needs of buyers and sellers in and around Bradley, Hamilton, Knox, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe and Polk Counties. To better serve their clients, the Crye-Leike Cleveland office participates in three different MLS Systems; River Counties, Chattanooga and Knoxville Association of Realtors. Several Crye-Leike agents serve in leadership positions on those local boards. Sherri Saffles and Patti Gates both served in the Leadership Program for the River Counties Association of Realtors in 2006, a program that trains REALTORS to become leaders in their community and their association and real estate agent Larry Allen, also serves as a Director for RCAR. Real estate agent & Auctioneer Tony Young was recently appointed Chairman of the Bradley County Planning Commission where he has served as a board member for several years. His knowledge of real estate, combined with county and state development experience allows him to better assist the community with real estate planning. Managing Broker, Jo L. Organ is also very involved in the community serving as President of the River Counties Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service. She says, "We have an awesome team of real estate associates who not only sell homes but also build communities. That's what makes the difference." The Cleveland branch office rolled up their sleeves and donated hundreds of hours of time by participating in many local programs. In 2006, the Cleveland branch office began its Caring and Giving Program, an ongoing endeavor that helps families in need throughout the year. During Thanksgiving and Christmas, agents in the office assisted two families by providing food, clothing, household items and special gifts for the children. In addition, Cleveland Agents made a special effort to assist the local Salvation Army's Family Aide Program by filling its pantry with various staples and canned goods during November. The Cleveland Crye-Leike Auction Team; Johnny & Kim Lewis, Terry Posey, John Sanders, Jim Smith and Tony Young, volunteered their time helping local schools with fundraising. Last year the auctioneers held a benefit auction for Taylor Elementary, Chattanooga Christian, Boyde Buchanan, Oak Grove, E.L. Ross' Toys for Tots program, St. Nicholas and Hopewell schools. They also held auctions for special charities that included a Black & Blue auction for multiple sclerosis and breast cancer patients, and they held a regional auction to raise funds for Habitat Humanity, New Orleans. Real estate agent Max Phillips volunteers as an assistant coach for our city school golf teams and real estate agent David Carrasquillo volunteers as a coach for Upward Sports, a local youth basketball program for ages 5-12. Due to the outstanding growth of the Cleveland Branch, an office expansion of approximately 3000 sq. Ft. added 14 new offices and additional conference rooms to the facility. Plans for another expansion have been approved and construction is scheduled to begin during the first quarter of 2007.
