LA BOXING Franchise Corporation, a national operator of distinctive cardio boxing, kickboxing and MMA health and fitness gyms, announced today the signing of its first franchise for the suburban Chicago area. The new franchise was awarded to Omar and Lana Rudaini. The Southern California-based LA BOXING Franchise Corporation continues its fast-paced expansion, taking the franchise company to 72 units in 16 states and Puerto Rico. "Continued new unit success in the first quarter of 2007 can be attributed in large part to the new people that we have hired at the corporate office in the last 9 months," said Anthony Geisler, president of LA BOXING Franchise Corporation. Since launching franchise sales in the late fall of 2004, Geisler has expanded the original company-owned gym into a 16-state fitness business through extensive franchising and a solid business model. Each gym offers 35 to 40 boxing, kickboxing and MMA classes a week. Today's LA BOXING brand has grown to include numerous class formats, a line of branded fitness apparel, and a gym environment that accommodates amateur and professional athletes and people in the mainstream who are dedicated to leading fit and healthy lives. "We have always been operating in a highly competitive fitness industry, but our 15 years of continued success seems to demonstrate that we have created a fitness program that delivers results and that truly helps people have fun while achieving their goals," Geisler said. "In addition to regularly updating the class regimen, we are also continuously finding new ways to refresh the program to meet our members' needs. In the past 15 years we've expanded our line of fitness apparel, incorporated fun, new twists into the franchisee training sessions, and continued to train instructors to provide cutting edge cardio boxing, kickboxing and MMA fitness routines. I think we have proven that we are able keep people motivated and maintain our position as the largest cardio boxing, kickboxing and MMA franchise company in the country. I'm looking forward to celebrating the next several years with similar growth." "This newest Chicagoland franchise sale fits into the company's long term strategy for developing gyms throughout the Greater Chicago Metro area," said Carl J. Kosnar, Managing Partner of The Kosnar Group, franchise development consultants for LA BOXING Franchise Corporation. "The LA BOXING brand currently dominates when you compare our national chain of 72 gyms to the independent boxing gyms that exist in every major market. Most are fragmented gyms owned and operated by former boxers with little or no business experience. When we enter a new market, LA BOXING launches radio and television ads and print advertising that allows the Company to dominate that market within months of coming into town," said Kosnar. "Omar and Lana have established a business plan that forecasts multiple LA BOXING franchises in several south suburban areas of Chicago by the end of 2008. Their business experience as operators of various retail businesses certainly help in achieving their roll-out of LA BOXING gyms in Chicago," according to Kosnar." "We are excited to bring LA Boxing to Chicago. We know people here are going to get caught up in the excitement surrounding the LA BOXING fitness program." said Omar. Lana added, "I know that the women are going to love this workout; there is just nothing like it in Chicago!"
