"Help-U-Sell's success stems from our ability to provide full real estate services from licensed professionals at a low set fee, while creating transparency for the consumer throughout the transaction," said Steve Ozonian, chairman of the board of Help-U-Sell.
According to the report, more than 55 percent of all real estate transactions are done through a real estate company affiliated with one of the 20 national real estate franchises.
To be considered for a ranking in the survey, the franchise brand needs to provide valuable real estate business services to the franchisee, education and training to the broker and agents, and above all a recognizable name and brand.
"Although there are many well-known, existing franchise brands, there are also many new franchise brands in the industry that are proving to be very exciting," says Stefan Swanepoel, author of the Swanepoel Trends Report, widely accepted as the leading publication on trends in the real estate brokerage industry.
During the last decade a larger than normal slate of new real estate franchises have been created, providing brokers and agents more options but also creating more confusion in the market. Help-U-Sell provides an alternative to the 6% commission structure, offering consumer-focused, full-service real estate at a low set fee. According to the company, Help-U-Sell has challenged the commission structure by perfecting a full-service set-fee model and delivering more for less.
"What is interesting is that the diversity of these companies clearly reflects that there is no longer one or two standard ways of building a brand, but many different business strategies that can all be successful. However, the old standard way of using a percentage of the sales price of a home as the way people are being charged for services is unlikely to sustain itself over the long run," says Ozonian.
