Launch Of Tradebank Northern Ontario

SUDBURY , ON | Sunday, July 01, 2007

When Dan Cusack visited Tradebank's corporate office as a client hoping to speak to someone about his account, he had no idea he would walk out as the company's newest franchise owner. "I was in Niagara on a mini vacation and just came in to ask a few questions. I just happened to run in to John (Porter) and I actually walked out the potential owner of Tradebank Northern Ontario" explains Dan. Born and raised in Sudbury, with a diploma in accounting from Sheridan College's business administration program, which he completed at Cambrian College, Dan was originally hoping to become a Chartered Accountant. After finishing school and working his way up the ladder with a local company, he got together with a few friends and became a business owner. Presently, he solely owns four restaurants (Gonga's Grill) in the Greater Sudbury area, one of which is currently in construction. "My parents are the reason I was able to start the restaurants. Without their help it wouldn't have been possible" says Dan. "My 8 year old daughter is also a strong motivator for me, and one of the reasons I am so driven to succeed. I enjoy being a dad, although it's part time, we spend a lot of time together." Keeping with his strong Northern Ontario roots, Dan curls and plays hockey when he's not working. Dan also helps out the local community, and to date Gonga's Grill also sponsors four baseball teams, all of which he plays on personally. A firm believer in the possibilities of Trade, Dan says that his community's clients are also very interested in the concept. "My first priority is to get my fellow clients trading, helping them to spend and earn trade dollars." says Dan. Of course that will also include signing on new clients, thus making their opportunities even better, and he plans to eventually have representatives in many Northern Ontario towns and cities including the Manitoulin Islands, a renowned tourist spot. Greater Sudbury is located 390 km north of Toronto and is one of the largest municipalities, by area, in Canada with plenty of open space, freshwater lakes, lush forests, parks and recreational facilities. The city of Sudbury has a population of approximately 165,000 and serves as the regional capital of Northeastern Ontario at the intersection of the Trans Canada Highway, Highway 69 South and Highway 144 North. Tradebank Northern Ontario's new office will be located at 296 Notre Dame Road in downtown Sudbury and Dan encourages clients to come in and meet him and talk business. "I am really looking forward to meeting the clients face to face" says Dan. "Many may know me as the owner of the restaurants but it will be great to speak to them in person. I am looking forward to visiting clients at their locations as well. I bought the franchise because I know that I am capable of turning this region around, and because I believe so strongly in the concept and that it really works." Tradebank Northern Ontario's evolution will provide endless benefits to clients from all over the map, including the United States, as Sudbury acts as a gateway to more remote parts of Northern Ontario, with over 250 lakes and a ski hill within its boundaries, and abundance of surrounding lakes and islands. The area, nicknamed "Rainbow Country", it is centrally situated in Ontario and is home to Sudbury, French River, Manitoulin Island and Parry Sound.
