Spirit To Launch Uni.k.wax In Europe

Spirit Advertising has won the �2 million creative account for US-based waxing salons Uni.K.Wax in the US and will launch the brand in the UK next year. The agency has been tasked with expanding the waxing salon's current portfolio of outlets in Miami into New York. Uni.K.Wax will also launch throughout Europe in 2008 and will open its first store in London at the beginning of summer next year. Spirit will create online and press advertising as well as a branding campaign to raise the salon's profile. The agency will also be encouraging franchisees. A Christmas media campaign will kick off in the US in November with Spirit promoting Uni.K.Wax's as the ‘Starbucks for waxing.' Richard Hammond, managing partner at Spirit, said: "This is potentially the Starbucks of waxing and is Spirit's second US based client after winning Concord watches early this year." Earlier this year Spirit was appointed to the �5 million advertising business for watch manufacturer Concord ahead of a global relaunch of the brand.
