The program which began on March 1, 2008 rewards contractors with a credit for the R-22 which is recovered. The current credit is substantial at $1.04 / lb and will dramatically change the cost associated with recovery up until this point. "The times are changing regarding R-22. The cost for certified & packaged R-22 has nearly doubled over the past 12 months. The price increase changes the dynamics for everybody involved in the handling of R-22. This means the customer doesn"�t have to worry about shipping costs or transferring the refrigerant into other cylinders to be shipped. Rapid Recovery will test the refrigerant on-site prior to the refrigerant ever leaving the jobsite or the cylinder in which it has been stored. Another distinction in Rapid Recovery's program is there will be no reduction in weight or payment caused by shrink during reclamation. Rapid Recovery will be weighing the refrigerant at your shop or jobsite and that is the weight you will receive credit for. "This is very different from industry standard. This new offering by Rapid Recovery boasts No Shipping Fees, Refrigerant tested on site and No Shrink (Weight Reduction). Their approach is very different from other programs being offered.
