Olde South Enterprises Brings VTS to Raleigh Metro Region

Vehicle Tracking Solutions (VTS), a leading provider of automatic vehicle location (AVL) and fleet monitoring solutions, today announced the opening of a new franchise location in Raleigh, NC. The new franchise allows VTS to expand its ability to serve the ever-growing needs of AVL and fleet customers along the East coast and in the South.

Owned by Olde South Enterprises, LLC, operated by the husband-and-wife team of Margo and Brent Sweitzer, Vehicle Tracking Systems Raleigh provides complete VTS sales, installation and service solutions to clients in the metro Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill areas, including Wake, Chatham, Orange, Johnson, Franklin and Durham counties. The Sweitzers have also owned another business, Alltech Cartridges, Inc., for 12 years.

"We had been looking for another business opportunitysomething environmentally friendly," said Margo Sweitzer, who is also a CPA. "With the price of fuel soaring, VTS helps companies manage fuel consumption and reduce emissions to minimize environmental impacts, thereby saving them money in the process." The Sweitzers say they also chose VTS because of its technological strength, financial stability and product quality.

"We were impressed with the depth of the company," Brent Sweitzer said. "They have a strong management team with a focus on customer support." As the only company in the AVL industry to offer franchise opportunities, VTS has embarked on a strategic expansion initiative to provide its dynamic and in-demand GPS fleet management technology to growing markets across the U.S. The company recently opened new corporate offices in Dallas/Ft. Worth and currently has other franchise locations in Austin, TX and Middlesex County, MA, just west of Boston.

"The Raleigh-Durham market is growing, not only in terms of AVL opportunities, but also economically and demographically," said John M. Cunningham Jr., president of Vehicle Tracking Solutions. "The area is perennially ranked as one of the best places in the nation to live, and the high-tech industry is thriving, making it a natural home for VTS's advanced GPS fleet monitoring system." VTS customers report an average of 11% to 13% fuel cost savings with the implementation of a VTS system. In addition to fuel costs, VTS customers can also minimize overtime costs and lower insurance premiums, as well as realize improved service or delivery efficiencies all factors that result in a fast return on investment.

VTS provides multiple monitoring options that allow customers to view fleet status and track moving vehicles in real-time with its FleetMinder and VTS WebView services, and even check vehicle status via a web-enabled cell phone with VTS Mobile.
