Charo Chicken Launches Web-based "flavor Fever" Campaign

New company website, promotion provides for consumer interactivity, sweepstakes incentive

Charo Chicken, the flavor-focused, fast-casual restaurant chain serving high quality fire-grilled chicken, has launched its newest "Flavor Fever" campaign, which allows consumers to vote and select additions to the concept's menu of permanent sauce flavors. Housed on the company's newly designed website, the one-year campaign � beginning October 15 � will be comprised of three voting periods with the newly selected sauces designed to complement Charo Chicken's core chicken products. The company is supporting the launch with a number of initiatives, including: in-store displays, e-mail marketing campaigns, sweepstakes (internal and consumer), employee incentives, strategic media outreach and promotional pricing offers.

"Consumers have repeatedly identified flavor as a key point of difference with our product," said Ray Perry, president and CEO of Charo Chicken. "This campaign is a complement to our brand strengths and a tribute to our new and loyal customer base." As the primary driver for the campaign, the new website will include interactive voting, live updates with voting tallies, flavor descriptions each represented with newly designed graphical characters, online ordering capabilities with heightened accuracy and pick-up time precision, the company's catering menu, locations and delivery/catering service information for groups up to 1,000.

In conjunction with the campaign, Charo Chicken will facilitate an employee incentive program to reward locations that garner the most promotion entrants. Rewards for high performing staff and managers include a cruise worth up to $2,500 and pay bonuses for hourly employees.

After entering the sweepstakes by providing their e-mail addresses, consumers are also automatically entered into Charo Chicken's Bud Club, a loyalty program, which will distribute online coupons and promotions. The sweepstakes has a grand prize consisting of a cruise worth up to $5,000. Each location will also have a local winner, who will receive a $250 gift-card for their local Charo Chicken. The new sauce flavors being introduced for the first set of voting, include: Chipotle BBQ, Teriyaki Citrus, Spicy Orange and Mango Pineapple.
