Groomathon Raises Money For Mspca

Zoomin" Groomin" Mobile Pet Spa of Hingham held a Groomathon on Jan. 31 at DirectBuy of Boston South in Rockland. Zoomin" Groomin" provided the grooming services and donated more than $500 in proceeds from the event to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Prom Expo to collect gently used dresses Gently used prom dresses will be collected at the South Shore Plaza's 2009 Prom Expo from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday. Dresses will be donated to the Belle of the Ball program, sponsored by Anton's Cleaners. Belle of the Ball"�s mission is to collect, clean and distribute prom gowns to area high school junior and senior girls who otherwise would not attend their proms.

Main Street Grille to host MDA Lock-Up The Main Street Grille in Weymouth will host the Weymouth area Muscular Dystrophy Association Lock-Up on March 25. The grille will provide an area for 75 to 90 expected "jailbirds"� recruited by the MDA to be "locked up"� for one hour in a mock cell. While most jailbirds pre-raise their bail, others use their hour in the clink to call friends, family and co-workers to help bail them out of their volunteer jail.
