New Tony Roma's President Named

Restaurant company Romacorp Inc., parent company of the Tony Roma's brand, said Monday that Ken Myres has been promoted to the position of president of RomaCorp.

Myres was previously executive vice president and COO at Romacorp.

Prior to being named president, Myres said the role was essentially filled by two positions -- with him overseeing operations and another executive leader serving as chief administrative officer. With his appointment, all officer roles within the company's structure are reporting to the president.

Dallas-based Romacorp, through its subsidiares, is the operator and franchisor of 200 Tony Roma's restaurants across the U.S. and in 32 countries.

In a statement released Monday, Myres said the company is in solid financial shape, ending the year with no debt and cash on hand.
