Spicy Pickle Franchising Inc. has announced its plans to expand the company's Vancouver, B.C.-based Bread Garden Urban Caf chain.

Spicy Pickle CEO Marc Geman said the chain is weathering economic pressures better than most and is getting ready to open a location on the University of British Columbia campus. Spicy Pickle executives also met with officials from the Vancouver airport to open a location on the terminal C concourse. Additionally, the company opened its first Bread Urban cafe location in Australia at the end of March.
