Giffords' First Franchise To Open In Pikesville

We'll all be screaming for ice cream when Gifford's Ice Cream and Candy officially opens July 14 in Pikesville.

The new Gifford's, owned by Susan and Michael Levine, will have music and free ice cream bars from noon to 2 p.m. at their grand opening at 1433 Reisterstown Road.

Gifford's has been a popular destination for Washington-area residents since 1938. The Pikesville shop is Gifford's first franchise.

Gifford's ice creams are made in Silver Spring using gourmet ingredients and small-batch production, said Susan Levine.

In addition to ice cream and candy, the shop will also sell ice cream cakes, shakes, desserts and sauces.
