Simmons Heating Becomes One Hour Franchise

Simmons Heating-Cooling-Electrical Inc. has become part of a nationally franchised heating and air conditioning brand and will now be known as One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning for residential services.

The Simmons brand remains for residential plumbing and electrical services and for commercial heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical services, a news release said. The company has served North Carolina for 57 years.

The switch to the national franchise brand, which promises on-time service or it's free, was a natural choice for Simmons, according to Derek Cole, vice president of residential services.

"Even though we've changed our name and the color of our trucks are changing to bright yellow, I want all of our customers to know we are still the same company they've trusted and relied on for more than 57 years," Cole said. "We've gotten even better.

"We are in business for our clients' convenience, not ours, so we are always on time and available when they need service," he said. "We hold our technicians and employees to very high standards. They must be courteous and cheerful to our customers at all times as well as technically competent.

"Our technicians are probably the cleanest you'll ever see. They thoroughly clean up their work areas when they are finished with a repair and are required to keep extra uniforms in the service truck should theirs get soiled. When was the last time you experienced this level of care from a service contractor? "So look for their big yellow trucks around town.
