Wichita Business Broker Wins Franchise Award

Wichita business broker Steve Fischer has been named the 2009 Most Valuable Intermediary in the VR Business Brokers network.

Fischer, owner of the Wichita franchise of VR Business Brokers, started his firm in 2008. The most valuable intermediary award is given by Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based VR Business Brokers to a single broker each year.

The company awarded Fischer based on the growth of his business and his help in other VR offices around the country.

"In a short time, Steve has established himself as a key and integral part of the VR network," said Peter King, CEO of VR Business Brokers. "His dedication, commitment, professionalism and his willingness to go above and beyond the norm in building not only his office, but assisting the development of others has been exemplary." VR Business Brokers has 130 domestic and international offices. It specializes in the sale of small, privately held businesses.

Fischer completed eight deals during 2009 that ranged in value to as high as $1 million.
