Tom enjoys doing his own home repairs and making improvements to his property and the homes of others who need the help. Laurie helps him keep busy with her honey-do-list which never seems to shrink! Though Tom tries to encourage her to watch the History channel, she always ends up flipping to HGTV and other DIY shows.

Giving back to the community is important to Tom Mills who has travelled to Costa Rica 3 times and Zambia once during the last 10 years to help with building projects supported by his church and through World Hope International.
