Andretti Autosports driver Mike Conway was at Buffalo Wild Wings on Reisterstown Road Monday, to announce he would drive his No. 27 car decked out in Buffalo Wild Wings colors at the first-ever street race in Baltimore, ABC-2 reported.
Camera shutters clicked rapidly as a sheet was removed, revealing the car's new paint job outside the restaurant's entrance. Buffalo Wild Wings, which has nine locations in the Baltimore area owned by local group Wings Across America, LLC, will also be an associate sponsor with Conway for the remaining events of the 2011 IndyCar Series, according to autoracing website PaddockTalk.
The sponsorship deal is estimated at about $350,000 for one year, according to SportsPro, a monthly sports business magazine.
Monday was the first time Conway visited Owings Mills, but it won't be the last time.
He and Andretti teammate Danica Patrick will be at the Owings Mills restaurant on Thursday, Sept. 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
