Era Real Estate Network Contributes $488,000 To Fight Muscular Dystrophy

Top fundraisers from the ERA Real Estate network recently traveled to Las Vegas, Nev., for the 2011 Muscular Dystrophy Association Labor Day Telethon on September 4th to present funds raised by the entire ERA franchise system. The $488,000 contribution represented the 2010 fundraising effort of the entire ERA Real Estate franchise network on behalf of MDA.

Led by Melissa Campbell, ERA Real Estate's Director of Public Relations and MDA Liaison, the ERA contingent included representatives from the top two fundraising companies in the ERA network for 2010: Cathi and Mike Williams from ERA Shields Real Estate in Colorado Springs, Colo., which was responsible for raising $38,849 "" the most of any ERA company "" and Jose and Alzira Castelo from ERA Jose S. Castelo Real Estate in New Bedford, Mass., whose team raised $35,249.

MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
