Chuck E. Cheese's Fundraiser Benefits Children's Foundation

Chuck E. Cheese's is donating a portion of its profits from participating Washington-area stores to benefit Mary Bridge Children's Foundation. The Mary Bridge Tree House offers parents and families of Mary Bridge Children's Hospital or Tacoma General Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) patients a nurturing, safe environment that helps them focus on the care of their child.

"Whether through donations to cover living expenses, home-cooked family meals or in-kind donations, everything at Tree House is made possible by a generous community," said Barbara Bartolatz Littrell, community development coordinator at Mary Bridge Children's Foundation. "Like Chuck E. Cheese's, we consider ourselves a place for families, and we are grateful for contributions made through fundraising events like these that lift our families up during challenging times." On Feb. 8 and Feb. 9, guests can stop by participating Washington-area Chuck E. Cheese's locations in Bellvue, Burlington, Kelso, Kent, Lynnwood, Olympia, Silverdale, Tacoma and Vancouver to help the cause.

During regular store hours on those days, Chuck E. Cheese's will donate 15 percent of profits generated from food, merchandise and token deals to support programs available to families at Mary Bridge Tree House.

"During traumatic times that families can face with children in and out of the hospital, family housing is a gift that can help touch lives in truly meaningful ways," said Tonya Hutchinson, western region trainer at Chuck E. Cheese's parent company CEC Entertainment Inc. "Chuck E. Cheese's is proud to support a special place for families to go during their trying times of need and children's recoveries." Since 2004, Chuck E. Cheese's has given back more than $6 million in support of education and charitable organizations through its fundraising programs.
