Craft Beer and Wine Bar is Family Sports Pub's 1st Franchise Investment

Beef ‘O' Brady's, the 213-unit franchise of family sports pubs and restaurants, announced today that it has acquired the rights to franchise The Brass Tap, the fast-growing network of upscale craft beer and wine bars best known for its more than 300 craft beers, premium wines and live music.

James Walker, Chief Development Officer of Beef ‘O' Brady's, said, "The Brass Tap is a renowned Florida brand with a unique position in the marketplace. This culture is like nothing else I have experienced in the industry before, and we are excited to help grow The Brass Tap through franchising." Jeff Martin, Gary Bailey and Steve Slowey, founders of The Brass Tap, will continue their involvement with the brand as shareholders, partners and franchise owners of the three open Florida units. These aforementioned entrepreneurs are well-versed in the hospitality industry as they cumulatively own seven Beef ‘O' Brady's restaurants throughout Florida. In 2007, Martin was sidetracked with a personal mission to house the very best craft beers, wines, cigars and live entertainment from all regions of the world under one roof. Mission accomplished. Now, four years and three locations later, The Brass Tap has become the darling of beverage enthusiasts from across Florida.

"The partnership between The Brass Tap and Beef ‘O' Brady's is a perfect fit," said Jeff Martin. "Our ability to leverage Beef's strong franchise development team and deep resources within the restaurant and franchise industry will allow us to more aggressively grow The Brass Tap brand. In just a few short years, we've already discovered that there's a rapidly expanding market for us." Inspired by the rapid growth of independent craft brewers and the resulting consumer demand, Walker and Director of Franchise Sales and Development Gene Savage of Beef ‘O' Brady's will spearhead The Brass Tap's domestic and international franchise growth. Plans are to open at least three new franchise units by Q1 2013.

In addition to The Brass Tap's distinctive beer and wine offerings and fun, contemporary culture, Brass Tap locations will be well-received in the markets they enter because of the boost they'll bring to the local economy. Each Brass Tap location requires 2,000 to 3,000 square feet and will create 10 to 20 new jobs.
