Junk King Invades Middle Georgia

Junk removal and hauling is a multi-billion dollar industry, and now two local men are offering this service here in Middle Georgia. Junk King of Macon is the first franchise in the state and several more are on the way to sweep away the clutter.

They were tired of the junk.

"We had an old mattress that we haven't had a bed frame for years. I had an old TV, a computer, lots of old toys and stuffed animals," said Monroe County resident Marie Moore.

The Monroe County family blames their 11 years of accumulated junk on busy schedules and living far from town.

"When kids are small it is amazing how much stuff they accumulate over the years," explained Moore.

Moore planned to do a room remodel, but clutter was getting in the way.

"We do all the work that is the key," said Macon's Junk King Owner and Manager Teddy Sauls.

Junk King of Macon will take anything off your hands from wherever you need it removed.

"We remove things from the attic, the basement, from the outside, backyards, sideyards, garage, it doesn't matter," said Sauls.

The Moore's didn't have to lift a finger.

"Do not move anything. You walk us through your home or through your business you show us where it is we'll go get it, we'll remove it, take it, bring it to our truck and then we'll haul it away for you," explained Sauls.

The company will recycle about 60% of the Moore's trash and then the rest will be donated or put in the landfill.

"We price according to the volume it takes on our truck," said Sauls.

If your stuff fills the entire truck it will cost you just under $500. All of the Moore's junk filled 5/8 of the truck bringing their grand total to $328, money Marie says is well spent.

"It's saving me the headache of having to deal with it any longer," said Moore.
