Goose Feathers Cafe has announced they will be launching an Facade of Goose Feathers Cafe aggressive expansion program through franchising to focus on new market expansion throughout the Southeastern United States. The Goose Feathers brand was developed originally in Savannah, Georgia by Beth and Michael Meeks as a fast casual breakfast and European Cafe opportunity based on 27 years of experience and history utilizing the business model and perfecting the menu, concept and operating systems. Goose Feather's brings traditional, authentic European/American cuisine by embracing the cozy European culture and history through a service-oriented and genuine Euro-cafe menu offering. The operation that resembles that of a friendly, fun neighborhood eatery you would find in the streets of Paris or Milan. "The Goose Feather's goal is to consistently deliver an experience that will bring people back, we want to treat people the way we would want to be treated when we go out for a meal," explains founder Michael Meeks. For most, it's a refreshing opportunity to enjoy breakfast or lunch in a fun, upbeat environment that has really great food at reasonable prices. Beth and Michael Meeks fell in love with the concept when they first discovered Goose Feathers. In 2004, they purchased the concept and implemented systems, procedures and operating protocol that would allow the model to be replicated. 2011 was a record year for the Savannah location and 2012 is on pace to set the new benchmark. Restaurant industry analysis by Technomic estimates system-wide sales for the breakfast daypart - which runs from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. - in 2010 at about $42 billion in the U.S., up about 1.2% from 2009. Franchisees of the Goose Feathers brand will be offered a corporate training program complete with several weeks of operating assistance, classroom training and management guidance. They will be provided site location assistance, onsite training, marketing programs, food distribution relationships, private label products and a wide-ranging menu. The operation has been designed for simple duplication with structured systems through technology, processes and refined operating systems.
