Dogtopia Gets Investment For Major Expansion

Tysons Corner-based dog daycare company Dogtopia will expand to hundreds of locations as part of a partnership with investment firm Thomas Franchise Solutions Ltd.

Financial terms of the investment weren't disclosed.

Dogtopia, founded in 2002, started franchising in 2005 and currently has 25 franchise locations nationwide with four others scheduled to open by the end of the year. It says the partnership with Thomas Franchise Solutions will expand its brand to more than 400 locations in North America over the next seven years.

This is Thomas Franchise Solutions' first franchise partnership. It was formed by former Century 21 Real Estate Canada Ltd chairman Peter Thomas.
