Active Rx Active Aging Centers, which are also located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, South Carolina and Texas, provide physical therapy and strength training to seniors through the franchise's proprietary programs, with a goal of preventing falls and other health ailments.
"We believe ActiveRx answers a dilemma for millions of older Americans who think they can no longer address the physical challenges facing them," Paul Reilly, regional developer for Active Rx in Massachusetts, said in a statement.
The Westborough center is located at 24 Lyman St., Suite 140, in the Westborough Shopping Center. It will serve seniors living throughout MetroWest, according to Reilly.
The Westborough center is only the beginning for Active Rx in the region. Reilly said he plans to have between 15 and 20 locations up and running in southern New England within three years.
