Sea Tow Services International Presents Franchise Of The Year At 2013 Annual Meeting

Sea Tow Services International Inc., the nation's leading on-water assistance provider, announced the 2013 Sea Tow Franchise of the Year Award winner and honored other outstanding members of its network at the Sea Tow Awards Banquet on November 20, 2013. The gala event, which also celebrated Sea Tow's 30th Anniversary, capped the organization's 2013 Annual Meeting held in Charlotte, N.C., on November 18-21. Sea Tow franchise owners and Captains came from across the country, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands to attend the Annual Meeting, which provides invaluable professional training they will take back to their individual locations, ultimately benefiting Sea Tow Members and other boaters.

Sea Tow Founder and CEO Capt. Joe Frohnhoefer and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Joseph Frohnhoefer III presented the awards and congratulated the recipients on their many achievements in the past year.

The most coveted of the annual Sea Tow honors, the 2013 Franchise of the Year Award, was presented to Sea Tow Hampton Roads. Co-owned by Captain Edward and Karen Schrader (last year's Georgia Frohnhoefer Award recipient), Sea Tow Hampton Roads provides professional marine assistance to boaters on the waterways of Virginia's Hampton Roads region from the James River to the Intracoastal Waterway.

"Ed and Karen exemplify what it means to be Sea Tow franchise owner and Captain," said Capt. Joe Frohnhoefer. "Their professionalism in every aspect of the business is top notch. Not only do they run a tight ship as Sea Tow owners, but they are also actively involved in working with their local community." Each year, Sea Tow honors a franchisee who makes an exceptional effort in serving Sea Tow Members and the local community in his or her first year of operation. The 2013 Rookie of the Year Award went to Captain Nik Foster, who became the owner in late 2012 of Sea Tow Daytona/Ponce.

Capt. Foster's franchise serves boaters in Florida's coastal Volusia County and Flagler County south of Highway 100. "Nik was able to spur membership growth in an area that had been stagnant for quite some time," said Capt. Joe Frohnhoefer. "He injected his dedication and tenacity into this business and has seen great growth in a short period of time." The Georgia Frohnhoefer Award, named for Sea Tow Executive Vice President Georgia Frohnhoefer, is given annually to the female member of the Sea Tow network who makes the biggest contribution to its daily operations. Ms. Frohnhoefer personally presented the 2013 Georgia Frohnhoefer Award to her daughter, Sea Tow Chief Administrative Officer Kristen Frohnhoefer.

"Since Kristen joined the Sea Tow Executive Team in 2003, she has been a dynamic force in helping to grow our organization, form strategic alliances with other high-profile companies, and add dozens of valuable new benefits for our Sea Tow members," Georgia Frohnhoefer said. "Today, we couldn"�t run Sea Tow without her, and I couldn"�t be more proud of her." Sea Tow also presented an Award in Recognition for 25 Years of Being a Sea Tow Operator to Captain Neal McQuone, owner of Sea Tow Southern Connecticut. Capt. McQuone and his team serve boaters in Long Island Sound from Bridgeport to Greenwich Connecticut.
