Founder Maggie Wannemacher has opened several pilot locations in Ohio large retail locations over the past seven years, and she has owned and operated a similar business for 19 years, having established the infrastructure, including policies, procedures and marketing programs necessary for success.
Large retail locations have offered Wannemacher an initial 20 Ohio stores to open these veteran-operated franchises between Feb. 1 and April 30. If the initial 20 are filled, more will become available. These can be any large retail locations in Ohio with available retail space. The franchisee will select a preferred location, and the nearest available store will be determined.
The franchisee would be expected to make an initial investment of $20,000 to $25,000, with anticipated first-year earnings of $50,000 to $65,000. Pilot stores have achieved growth in subsequent years. The industry average billable rate is $75 per hour.
Wannemacher is coordinating with a recognized business school for online entrepreneurial training, which will be followed by 30 hours of training for each franchisee at Rhodes State in Lima. This is followed by a one-year mentorship with a business professor.
She also is lining up support for most of the franchisees' startup costs, coordinating with the Small Business Administration now, and each Ohio county has a revolving loan fund to help entrepreneurs.
This opportunity is open to veterans and their families. Those interested should contact Wannemacher at [email protected]
