Ben Kramer, vice president of franchising said the demand has been building for the company to bring their concept outside of California.
"We are finally ready to launch our company with the help of experienced and successful multi-unit operators who want to add a brand that attracts families and anyone looking for a great place to celebrate a life event," said Kramer.
"Farrell's is an 1890's ice cream parlour restaurant that offers great food and incredible ice cream dishes including our signature Zoo Sundae and Pig's Trough Sundae," said Michael Fleming, CEO. "We have been honored in Southern California with multiple "Best of" awards including Best Ice Cream, Best Restaurant, and Best Place to Celebrate. We are excited to be able to bring our concept outside California," he added.
Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour was founded by Robert "Bob" Farrell in Portland, Oregon, in 1963. The concept grew very quickly which attracted the Marriott Corporation, who bought the company under the operation of Bob Farrell. With over 130 stores nationwide, the company was sold to an investment group in 1982 and the successful concept was changed. By 1990 Farrell's closed but was brought back to life by Lake Forest, California, based Parlour Enterprises Inc. in 2009.
With six Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour Restaurants operating in Southern California and one in Sacramento, the restaurant chain is poised to begin expansion across the U.S. They are even in discussions for two international locations.
