Mary Brown's CEO goes undercover

Friday, March 22, 2013

Greg Roberts, CEO of chicken and tater franchise Mary Brown's, was featured on March 21 episode of Undercover Boss Canada, as he checks if the company can maintain brand consistency in the process of a massive expansion.

For the episode, Roberts disguised himself as a Mary Brown's employee and joined the restaurant chain's front-line operations for a week, taking on various tasks and learning what goes on behind the scenes.

"Mary Brown's has always been proud of the people that work in our restaurants, preparing the signature chicken and taters Canadians love," he says. "It has been a very positive experience to get to work so closely with a few of the shining stars of our company, learning about their lives both in and out of Mary Brown's."

"It is great to see Greg getting into the heart and soul of our company," says Nigel Beattie, president and chief operating officer (COO). "The teams that work in our stores give their all. We wouldn't be as successful as we are without the efforts they make every day to ensure our customers receive the best products and service in the industry. We're extremely proud to be able to share a few of their stories with the rest of Canada."
