Navis Pack & Ship Centers' Parent Annex Brands Promotes Mary Ann Canup to Vice President of Franchise Compliance

Annex Brands, Inc., the franchisor of 7 brands in the shipping and business services industries, is pleased to announce the promotion of Mary Ann Canup to Vice President of Franchise Compliance.

Company Founder, Chairman, and CEO Jack Lentz said, "For over 20 years, Mary Ann has been integral to this company's success. Her attention to detail in ensuring our legal compliance with franchise laws in all 50 states is unmatched." Her duties include ensuring the Franchise Disclosure Document (formerly known as the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular) is registered in every state the company offers its franchises for sale. This is an annual process which includes overseeing any clarifications requested by state examiners.

"Being a good franchisor means having good records to prove you are following all state and federal laws," Lentz said. "Mary Ann's management of this function has resulted in excellent relations and trust from our franchisees. We're very proud to acknowledge her excellence with this promotion." Canup started with the company as a part-time receptionist, working her way up Executive Coordinator, then to Director of Compliance in 2005. In November, 2012 she was promoted to Executive Director and then to Vice President this summer.
