Anytime Fitness opening in Scottsbluff in January

Those looking to get into shape after the holiday season will have a new option in Scottsbluff as Anytime Fitness will be opening its doors this January.

The new fitness center will be located in downtown Scottsbluff at 1704 Broadway where Joann's Fabric used to reside.

Owners Brian and Kelly Barton currently own several locations in Colorado but look forward to serving the Panhandle and Nebraska.

"I am a huge Husker fan, and me and my wife just love Nebraska," said Barton "The people there are so loyal and friendly and we can't wait to be a part of the community." This will be the Barton's first Nebraska location but hope to open three more in the state over the next year.

That excitement has leaked into the facility as Barton stated this will be his nicest facility yet. He also said it will be one of his largest, at almost 3,000 square feet. It will also have brand new equipment with touch-screen technology, and two class studios, which will host a variety of fitness classes 24/7.

"We will have live instructors with set class times, but if you can't make one of those we will have HD TVs set up in each studio, and private screens on the bikes so you can enter a cardio class or fitness class through video anytime you want," said Barton.

For those looking to join the gym they will also be offering discounted rates to its first 250 members, and presales for those memberships start Monday Dec. 7.
