The Second Cup Coffee Company Inc. ("Second Cup") continues to develop its global presence by starting 2017 off by announcing plans to open cafes in the Country of Georgia under a development agreement with its newest Regional Franchise Partner, Coffee Time ("COFTIM") with the opening their first cafe in Tbilisi and also bringing their signature coffee to the retail shelves of SPAR Georgia.
Partnering with Coffee Time headed by Archil Gegenava, Giorgi Chubinishvili, Vadim Gurdzy and Ilkin Babaev; Second Cup plans to open their first cafe inside a SPAR Georgia store in the heart of Tbilisi. The cozy Second Cup cafe will have seating for 24 indoors and additional patio seating for the summer, serve fresh food made locally, be equipped with WiFi, and offer Second Cup's complete line of signature beverages. There are plans to bring multiple different format cafes to Georgia, as part of an aggressive development strategy. Building on COFTIM's extensive experience in hospitality and food retail. Georgia will be the first international region to sell Second Cup coffees and hot chocolates on grocery store shelves, as well as the first region to operate both cafes and the Grocery program simultaneously.
